Apple Enhances Maps with Parkopedia Update

Apple is enhancing their maps for the users now. Parkopedia has announced today that they are going to provide Apple their database for the worldwide parking services. This will be an adding more benefits for the Apple users now. Apple maps are going to get the enhanced data for nearly 40 million parking spots which is all being tracked by Parkopedia in more than 75 countries across Latin America, North America, Europe and Asian continents. Apple maps indicated the parking spots previously with a very simple icon however now it will be providing the listing with the detailed information for the users.

Apple Enhances Maps with Parkopedia Update

The details shall include number of available spaces, types of parking available, the options for the payment, hours of operation, charging facility available (Yes/No) and finally the limit of the height for parking. The users will also be able to click on the Apple Maps to reach onto the Parkopedia website for viewing more information about the parking offers, reviews, real-time availability, special offers and pricing model. In future Apple Maps will be also able to show the cheapest available parking near around as quoted by Parkopedia. The official announcement to add Parkopedia is not yet done by Apple yet. There are a number of third party data providers with whom Apple is currently working at the moment. Some of the common name includes:

· Acxiom

· booking.com

· TripAdvisor

· Yelp

· Yellow Pages and many more

Apple iOS 9 is already available with the data for car parking and sooner Apple will be also adding the feature for the iOS 10 beta. The latest iOS of the Apple proactively remembers where you have left your vehicle additionally. The users of the Apple map will also be able to add reservations to the parking in advance using the maps of the Apple.
