GlaxoSmithKline Launches Health Research Kit

It’s been close to a year now. Apple was going to make the research kit available to all the classic and big bannered pharmaceutical companies. The research kit was supposed to be used for the clinical studies by the pharmacy companies and GlaxoSmithKline. GSK that is GlaxoSmithKline has recently announced their study. The study done by the GSK will be using an iPhone app for conducting the surveys.

The sensors of the iPhone will be used for collecting and tracking some of the most commonly detected symptoms of the rheumatoid arthritis which are namely:

· Mood swings

· Fatigue

· Joint pain

The app will be also tracking the activities and the quality of the life measures of around 300 patients for a period of 3 months. The company is confident about finding significant benefits while collecting data from the 300 patients via their research kits. The goal of the app is to engage with the patients and integrate the research into the daily lives of the patients.

The research kit also enables the app to collect the data very accurately and more precisely from the patients using the iPhone. The research is open for all the patients of rheumatoid arthritis who are based in United States and above the age of 21 years. You may also apply as a participant in the research by simply downloading the app in your iPhone. Apple is also conducting personalized research by using the research kit for fact finding. Apple as a company is very much interested into the health care. They are trying to keep up their efforts for building a safe and secure health app for their users as well. Apple is constantly trying to build up a technology which can monitor the health of the users 24 by 7 and also enable medical help at the right time for them.
