Draining of Data

Since we all are socially active, the most precious thing to us is our data. Our data gives us the opportunity to enlighten and entertain ourselves by connecting us to the world through internet. So everyday a huge amount of data is exhausted but what calls for an inspection is the vanishing of data without using it. And this problem is very much prominent in the case of iPhones.

Draining of Data

How the data vanishes?

How and where the data was exhausted could be found out after an user and her friends ran a search. After going to settings one can find out which operation consumed how much amount of data. The operations are listed alphabetically. While doing so, they detected that the most amount of data was consumed by something named ‘Media Services’. It is regarded that media service is a service which can be summoned by iTunes Match and iCloud Music Library. iCloud Music Library is a subscription under the Apple Music and both the iCloud and iTunes Match are used because they ease the user’s problems by reducing the storage things and uploading time.

Both these apps match the user’s playlists with the tracks available in the library and collect those. So if someone has a huge collection of playlisted tracks and forgets to stop using the data from cell, he/she will face the same consequence as this person faced. The other reason behind the vanishing data was WiFi Assist. This is an application found in iOS 9 which helps to transfer some data to the cell if the person is in a not up to the mark WiFi zone. So, if the aforementioned apps are kept on and the WiFi Assist is also on( which is by default from Apple), then the data will surely vanish!

Precaution

The only precaution which can be taken in this case is to turn off those apps. If the apps aren’t on, data won’t be gone! So be careful.
