Differential Privacy Protects the Individual During the Analysis Process of a Group

The differential privacy incorporation of Apple is an effort that is being out for data collection. The wide scale use of this technique is the first as per University of Pennsylvania’s Prf. Aaron Rot. He is not just a mathematician, however he has already written a complete book on this front. This was what the Software Engineering Senior Vice President of Apple, Craig Federighi had to say during the WWDC.

Differential Privacy Protects the Individual During the Analysis Process of a Group

While in conversation with Appleinsider during an exclusive interview, it was noted by Roth that the breakthrough in this technique is yet to be achieved by Apple. In terms of the incorporation of the differential privacy, the company has become a leader in the industry across the various services that they offer.

He went on to say that what he felt was really exciting was the fact that the Differential privacy is something that the company has been studying on for quite some time now, it is not the technological or scientific breakthrough, however the fact that the company has taken that division to go ahead and incorporate it on all their products and making it the central part.

In 2014, alongside Cynthia Dwork, the book named The Algorithmic Foundations of Differential Privacy was written by the Roth. An expert in Computer and Information Science, he is an associate professor of the computer science department of the University of Pennsylvania.

The whole concept of Differential privacy is to introduce or obscure the noise into the results of the big data. This helps to get all the information which is necessary and useful on trends with are larger. The examples that Roth used were the ones that were conducted in surveys. No individual answers were revealed by the data collected even though he is interested in the results which are large scaled.
