Apple Launches Protection for Other Apps Category

Apple says that the apps in their app store should be making more sense in their business model while asking for renewal subscription payments from the consumers. If the app is not worthwhile there is no point buying them. The rule will be broadly applicable for the apps listed in the other apps category. It is important to put an embargo for developers under this category. It will essentially be helping the developers as well as the consumers in longer term.

The company hopes that their immediate step while protecting the recurring payments will be helpful in protecting and safeguarding the scams which happens with legitimate consumers. Many a times people lose their money on auto renewal of the apps which they may not require further. It is important to safeguard the interest of the people and let the companies help people decide openly. Such decisions will also make the company market their products transparently to the people. The new rule on the subscriptions will be added from June 13th .

Apple will also be cutting down on their earning to a limited share percentage of 15 percent from the consumers who lasts with the app developer after a year The company is planning to encourage higher revenue shares for the app developers. They are also giving people a window of 60 days where they can auto renew the subscriptions or cancel the subscriptions.
