Technical Issues Being Faced by Apple Pay and Adoption Outside US Seems to Be Slow

Around the world, the service of Apple Pay seems to be expanding gradually. In Canada, all the five big banks are now part of the list of Apple Pay supporters. The recent Reuters reports that the rollout of the feature globally, has been having issues for not just Apple, but also for the retailers and banks.

As per what is explained in the report, the data clearly indicates that the enthusiasm of Apple Pay is not shared by the general public but with the enthusiasts of Apple. A total of 10.9 billion Apple Pay usages was seen in 2015 however most of it was in United States. The tech hiccups has been one of the biggest issues with the Global Rollout of Apple Pay. For example, there have been various technical issues that have been faced by at least on bank in Australia when it comes to the payment methods being accepted. `

A representative of the Bendigo Banks said that there have been a few technical issues which were unforeseen when the payments were been accepted by Apple Pay in a few merchant terminals. However, the Apple Pay‘s technical side is being defended by the company where it is being linked to various other shifts in technology. Jennifer Bailey, the Apple executive stated it takes time for any major change in technology to set off. She also went on to say that the company is not just trying to move but also push as quickly as they can.

The recent report also indicated that an extra step is being taken by many people to set up the Apple Pay Service. For example, in UK there are around 86 million contactless cards that are already being used. People have to be persuaded by Apple so that their cards can be added to Apple Pay and to use the contactless payment instead of a card payment.
