The exact replacement for connecting the 3.5 mm headphones has been built in the market however none of the company is sure how good or bad the quality of the sound may be. None of the accessory has been tested by MFi perhaps they have been submitted for the quality certification. Any adapter made by any company should be capable of converting and incorporate digital to analog signals conversion. With lightning cable USB C as the major upgrade in the upcoming iPhone 7, most of the people are confused on what to do with their old headphones. Chinese manufacturers are trying to sell a solution for this to the people however they are themselves unsure too on how it will be working with the device.

How will the sound quality be after the conversion? One thing is for sure the headphones for the iPhone 7 will surely be priced very high. The company has also planned to launch a separate line of the noise cancellation headphones which will feature the facility of upgrading the OS to help user experience better sound quality, bass, etc. This means that people will be spending largely on the headphones too now from the company. Though it is not officially confirmed, this is one of the plans on which they may or may not be working.
