No Price Drop Refunds From Amazon Now Onwards

The well‐known online shopping website Amazon has stopped their services on the price protection of the price drops. Until some time back they were the first ones to be offering the refund of the difference of the amount to their consumers. The company protected the expenses of the consumers by providing them a protection plan against immediate price drops.

No Price Drop Refunds From Amazon Now Onwards

It has been close to a month now and Amazon is not offering any such fresh services to their consumers. The retailers are not giving or honoring the price drop alerts for their people. The only exception to this price drop is the television. This is the only commodity where the people are still being offered the difference between the drop price and the sold price of the commodity. It was a good gesture from the Amazon’s to end to bind their people with the company. It could also be termed as one of the marketing efforts. The first one to notice the closure of the service was the GroovyPost.

Recode also spoke to Erany which is a startup in the market helping the people find the cheapest product across the internet. Amazon has already changed their price policy multiple times in an year and the price refunds are strictly allowed in only 30 days of the purchase. Amazon has changed the price refund policy to 7 days after the purchase of the item from the company.

It is unclear why Amazon has closed the price protection plan of the company. The only reason which we may think about is the illegitimate usage of the company. The biggest impact on the closure of the plan is on the small houses. Now whatever they buy will be their whole expense and they shall not be allowed any refund in the price margin difference.
