Mi Develops Drones Controlled By Their Smartphones

After smart phone now the well‐known company Xiaomi is building their own drones for the market. The new drone has been revealed by the company on Wednesday and is capable of working with the smart phones of the company. It is also equipped with camera which is another add on for the device. The drones launched by the MI will be launched in 2 segments. The 4k version of the drone will be priced at ¥2,999 or $460 however the 1080P version will be coming at ¥2,499. Xiaomi is planning to source a crowd funding for building their drones. The campaign for building the lower version drones will be beginning tomorrow.

The company says that the 4K version will be launched in limited quantity for the people this summer. Both of the models of the drone will be featuring three‐axis gimbals which can be easily replaced by the user. The device is expected to be MI smartphone. The smartphone will be used as the viewfinder for the camera of the device. The drone being built by the Xiaomi will be carrying a 5,100 mAh battery which will be giving a lift of approximately 27 minutes for the device. The MI drone is also capable of taking off on its own as well as landing on its own.

The drone will also feature the facility of navigation via GPS and return back to the controller. The drones are costly than the other available drones in the market. It will be quite exciting to look how the company is accepted in the market of drones. Mi is slowly expanding their wings in multiple heads. Mi started with smartphones then migrated towards building fitness bands, travel charging batteries for mobile devices and now they are into drones. The company is growing a good pace in the market and has picked up really well.
