As per the statement that was released by the company, it stated that the recent acquisition that happened can help to accelerate the ability of the company in the development of a NFC payment solution which can be active and can also be embedded into the future devices of the company. The smart capabilities of the devices will be broadened by this.

The company also stated that the presently the Coin’s tech cannot be integrated into the current line of products that are available, however this does not mean that in the upcoming year of 2017, such gadgets cannot be released by the company.

The company is presently well known for its fitness bands that are low‐ish tech in nature however it also offers a fitness watch that is called Blaze which can stand in competition and become a contender with its new functionality.

Thus is not the first time that a lead has been taken by Fitbit from Apple. Recently it was revealed that the reason why in 2011 the company had delayed the launch of their products was due to the fact that the iPhone 4s was launched and Fitbit wanted to add the Bluetooth facility into their products. Well the company should make a note that the attempt of competing with the Apple Pay service may not end well for them.
