It has presumed that the rest of the parts of the Apple chips will be manufacture by current partner of the Apple Qualcomm. Intel will be the originally sending the chips themselves to Apple however it will be further manufactured by TSMC and King Yuan Electronics in China. The rumors in past have also suggested that Apple sent its team to help Intel optimize their Intel’s 7360 LTE modem. An Engineering team was sent by Apple for the similar task in the company.

Intel has been desperately trying to get into the Apple’s supply chain. Qualcomm biggest suppliers are Apple and Samsung. There should not be any end difference in the chips manufactured by Qualcomm and Intel Apple is trying to map the difference and ensure that there are no such instances where a user experiences variation in network performance, power consumption, etc.

Most likely the production for Apple iPhone 7 has begun and they are on the track for the shipments too. Apple has likely invested a lot of efforts and money towards Apple iPhone 7 and expecting a huge early response from the market on their favor. Intel is trying to optimize their performance of their modems to match the capacity of the Qualcomm. The bottom line is to meet the quality against the expense of the company as well as the consumers in the later phase.
