WWDC Scholarships Awarded By Apple For The Upcoming WWDC Conference

For winning applicants the WWDC scholarships are now being issued by Apple. Though the emails are yet to be sent out by the company to the winners, however the applicants can get to know if they have got the scholarship or not by going to the ‘Events’ heading in the account after logging in. On May 1st, 2016 (Sunday), the company stopped accepting the applications of the scholarship. Even those who had applied for it had to be 13 years and over as well as a part time or full time member/alumni or student of a STEM organization. Apart from the standard scholarships that the company would issue, 125 recipients of the scholarship would also get travel assistance that would be provided.

We all know that in a few weeks, the major developer conference is scheduled to start. This is one of the main reasons why Apple went ahead and issued the WWDC scholarships. This as the company’s way to reward the STEM organization members and talented students as well as provide them with an opportunity to attend the conference that is to be held this year. The WWDC 2016 ticket is given to those developers who are selected for the scholarship and this would be free for them. Along with that even the recipients of the scholarship would also be granted travel assistance, all the details pertaining to the event is available online.

For those who are interested in going to the event however have not got the scholarship, they can still do so by purchasing the ticket however the cost is said to be around $1599. Last year the scholarship program was limited to only around 200 tickets but this year things have changed as it has been increased to 350 slots for STEM organization members and students.
