Plans To Visit China Are On The Pipeline For Apple’s CEO Tim Cook For Talks With Top Chinese Government Officials

It was reported by Reuters recently that in May, Tim Cook; the CEO of Apple has plans to visit China so that he can meet with the officials of the Chinese Government to address the tensions that are presently going on between China and Apple. As per a lot of people, going forward, this may be the main driver for the growth of the company’s revenue. In the past few weeks, there have been a lot of Setbacks that the company has seen in China. It has gone to the extent where iTunes and iBooks have stopped selling in China.

It is believed that this move has happened due to the new policies that the government has sent in the region which pertains to the restrictions towards online publishing. Another reason for the tension between the China and the company is also pertaining to the recent case that the company had lost in regards to the exclusive rights that the company wanted to have in regards to the trademark rights of the iPhone. It is said that the company plans to appeal further on since they lost the case in court.

It was also told by Reuters that a few officials in China did not react well pertaining to the stance that Apple took in regards to unlocking case of the San Bernardino case where the FBI wanted the company to unlock the iPhone. It is said that this aspect also could be one of the reasons why the relationships have been damaged. It is said that there are plans that Cook has made to meet the top Governmental officials to sort things out. The points that are to be covered during the meet is yet to be known since nothing has been confirmed officially as to what exactly Cook has in his mind and what he wants to talk about.
