Bob Kupbens, Apple’s Online Retail VP Resigns From The Company

Apple’s growing online retail business Vice President Bob Kupbens has finally called it quits with the company as he officially resigned last week. As per sources, it is believed that Kupbens is all set to embark on a new journey elsewhere where he would take on a new position. In 2014, Kupbens came on board Apple and has been handing all the online based retail initiatives that Apple has taken. Be it from redesigning Apple’s online store to even going ahead and integrating it into the main website of Apple. He also was a part of the iPhone upgrade program that Apple came up with online and even the new found connectivity with the physical retail stores of Apple.

Prior to joining Apple, Kupbens was a part of Delta Air Line’s where he was the Vice President for the digital marketing initiative that the company took. He joined the company just a few months prior to Angela Ahrendts becoming the Sr. VP of the Retail section. Bob used to report to Angela was a replacement for Jennifer Bailey who is now heading the Apple Pay section and is the Vice President of Apple Pay. It is unlikely that Bailey may pick up her previous duties due to the fact that there are expansion plans in the pipeline for the Apple Pay division this fall where they are expanding to the web.

In the recent years, Bob is the latest top executive of the company to leave the retail division. He follows former the company’s retail executives Jerry McDougal and Bob Bridger out of Cupertino. The management team of the company’s retail section was reconstructed by Ahrendts just a year go so that the expansion plans of China, mobile payments and online integration could get a stronger emphasis. Her integration goals for both offline and online were executed by Kupbens.
