Apple On The Lookout For A Space That Is 800,000 sq. Feet For The R&D Section Of Project Titan

The San Francisco Bay Area’s largest property company during an investor call stated the Apple is on the lookout for a space that is 800,000 Square feet for the expansion of their car project. Victor Coleman, the CEO of Hudson Pacific Properties spoke about the demand that was rising for a space which could be big enough for the R&D part of the car project, WSJ quoted was said by him. Coleman stated that they are seeing the world’s Toyotas, Tesla, Mercedes and even the BMW’s. Even Ford is looking out for a space, while Google’s on the lookout for 400,000 square feet so that they could take down Apple’s 800,000 sq feet for their car projects.

We all know about the fact that Apple’s Project Titan has been hitting headlines so far. Based on the size of what Apple is looking out far, it would be around a third of the spaceship campus that is presently being built by Apple which totals to around 2.8 million square feet. It was also noted that the space that they are looking for s typically smaller than what a car factory would need, however for a R&D section, it does seem to be really big.

It was also told by WSJ, that those who know about the whole thing stated that the Number of employees who were working for the Project Titan as of last year was around 600 people and now the expansion plans are on the pipelines. It was also reported that the company had hired a few people from Tesla and a few other places. By the looks of it, the car parts are being prototyped by Apple with Magna which is an Australian based car manufacturer of BMW/Mini maker which is said to be the potential manufacturer for the latest car that is part of the Project Titan.
