Sony Shutdowns Kumamoto Plant Temporarily, Apple May Suffer Production Losses Too

In the recent earthquake in Japan, Sony is said to have suffered a good amount of the loss. In the latest news which has been officially released by the Sony cooperation, they confirmed about the losses in Japan’s Kumamoto earthquake. Sony’s factory in Kumamoto Japan is the primary manufacturer of the image sensor semiconductor for most of the phone devices. These semiconductors were reportedly used by Apple in their products. The loss is still to be evaluated in their plant and till then the production has completely halted.

The other two branches of the Sony in Japan that is in Nagasaki and Oita Technology suspended their operations too till April 17th. Reports are still unclear that how the loss of Sony could hamper the growth of Apple. They were said to be contributing in the dual camera feature which is the next update in the Apple’s IPhones 7. The earthquake in Japan was severe which reported in 116 deaths and multiple damages across the city. Analysts and principal researchers say that Apple is said to suffer a minimal loss due to the current shutdown of the Sony plant in Japan.

It is a bit heartless news to know about the Japan’s earthquake. Sony has been helping their employees in every possible way to recover the loss. The company is said to be supporting all losses of their employees. The time required to come back in action is still uncertain. No claims by the company have also been given how much time would require coming into action and starting the production of their semi‐conductor devices. Apple is said to be cooperating too with Sony. In a short span of time Sony shall officially declare on how much time they would require to start working again with their employees in their plant.
