Apple TV Gets Third Party Search Integration

CBS invades apples and becomes the first search API for apple hardware. It is amongst the first party apps which acne be accessed by voice search which is SIRI in Apple or via text search. The app will be by default installed in the upcoming fourth generation television sets of Apple now.

CBS will be now officially available as a viewing option on Apple TV’s. Until last year if a user searches for a show on Apple TV via text or SIRI the results appearing on screen was only and only limited to ITunes, HULU, etc. It was then Apple promised to open gateways for the third party search developers. CBS took the advantage of the task and quickly launched their search API for Apple TV. Channels like ABC, Disney, Disney junior, Disney XD have made their dedicated video libraries with TV operating system universal search in the month of Feb.

Apple is trying to upgrade all of their hardware with the latest technology. Adding TV to their hardware line was one of the recent decisions made by Apple. Apple TV support SIRI feature too, now a user can easily be scratching their favorite program or TV shows using the SIRI remote. They may also be able to directly jump to the channels too.

Earlier the TV hardware of Apple only supported ITunes and Hulu. It is only after the last update of the Apple in last November Apple promised to add third party APIs to their program. The recent third party integration of universal search will allow people to access the video libraries and channels like Fox Now, Disney, ESPN, etc. directly. There are a lot of features waiting to be added to the Apple hardware for the Apple users. Let’s see what update will be rolling in next time for Apple TV users.
