OWC, one of the most reputed companies who provide with updates for both Mac Book Pros and Macbook Airs, has made upgrades to the memory device in old Macs. Now, one can easily increase the storage capacity of their Macs without any hassle or third party inclusions. The various models for which these updates are applicable to are the Macbook Pros manufactured during the late session of 2013 and the Macbook Airs which were manufactured during the mi session of 2013. One can upgrade their Macs by any one of the 430 GB PCIe type flash storage device or a 1 TB PCIe type flash storage device.

Back Dated Macbooks Can Now Have Upgraded Memories

If one takes into consideration the actual capacity of the storage units these Macs were manufactured with, some have 256 GB and some having a much less 128 GB, this is a comparatively major upgrade for the machines. Let us take a simple Macbook Air having 128 GB of storage as an example. If the user applies for and gets an extension of a 1 TB flash storage place, it will be a very significant upgrade to the machine, increasing the storage 8 times its initial capacity.

As for someone who has been using a Mac Book Pro which was manufactured during the later phase of 2013 which also has a Retina display, it is quite frustrating to have a significantly low storage area as compared to today’s scenario. Before the introduction of the recent upgrading solution, one had no option than to use third party devices to increase memory, like the external hard disks available in the market. After and very long wait by the early edition Apple Mac Book users, OWC has finally provided some relief with the new flash storage devices they have introduced.
