Kayne West Boycotts Apple Music

In recent times, Apple Music had done live exclusive albums for Future, one of the most popular rap artists in the US. With collaboration with Apple, this was the second album that future released exclusively on Apple music and just last week, it moved to the top of the music charts. Moreover, the previous album also was a chart topper. Taking all these into account, Apple is likely to get a number of artists who will feature exclusively on Apple Music.

Dr. Dre, the co‐founder of beats headphones, which is also a part of the Apple family, is at present shooting for a live streaming show exclusively for Apple Music. Although many critics feel this is just a stunt to increase the popularity of Apple Music over other such apps, this is actually a step taken by Apple to take the vision of Apple Music into the future.

A few days back, a twitter post by Yeezus showed that he will absolutely not release his album on Apple. He made it quite clear that whatever the situation may turn out to be, Apple will never have the sole exclusive rights to the release and streaming of his albums. The only place one can see the album and Kayne Wests work is on Tidal.

Kayne West is one of the co‐founders of Tidal and has sworn that he will always release his albums there. Moreover, he is now quite busy with the promotion of the music portal. Kayne’s latest album features only in Tidal and he is, at present, asking his fans to tune into Tidal and get his album. To really get the fans into Tidal, he even went on into saying that the next exclusive will be done by Jay Z. this form of promotion for Tidal actually worked and Tidal rose to the top if the charts in iTunes.
